Director of Mentoring and General Counsel, SpringSpirit

John Meredith is the Director of Mentoring and General Counsel for SpringSpirit. He has served as an Executive Director/President & General Counsel/COO at non-profits and law firms. He has worked in program development, strategic planning, organizational leadership, fundraising/business development, and team building.

John graduated from the University of North Georgia (BBA), Georgia Tech (MBA), Baylor University School of Law (JD), and Harvard University (MPA). He started his career as an attorney at a Houston law firm. Also, he was an Adjunct Professor teaching public relations at Houston Christian University.

John is a graduate of American Leadership Forum, Center for Houston’s Future, FBI Citizens’ Academy, and Leadership Houston. John is also a Board Member for Loving Houston and the Houston Racquet Club, a Deacon at Second Baptist, and Chair of the HCU Center for Christianity in Business.

John is married to Shirley Shelton Meredith and they have two adult children. John and his family serve as mentors for at-risk youth.
