The Outreach Center is honored to welcome Jon Peters as the keynote speaker at our Leadercast flexcast event on June 14. His story emdodies the theme to lead healthy teams by first being a healthy leader. Whenever someone hears Jon’s story they are motivated and inspired to reach out and find hope and healing. Two of the major components of all we offer here at the Center through our non-profit agencies.
Meet Jon Peters, Speaker – Author – Coach
Jon, the author of When Life Grabs You by the Baseballs, shares a story of “There is Hope…When Dreams Collaspe and New Dreams Come.”
His message is universal: “no matter what dreams you’ve lost or what demons you’re battling, you too can find that same hope, happiness, and purpose.”
Jon is an electrifying speaker, genuine, real and authentic, as he shares his powerful story.Peters is a father, friend, motivational speaker, author, and coach. His passion to serve and help others is displayed through his energetic, positive, and contagious personality. Jon resides in the Houston area, where he is a father, friend, and motivational speaker. When he is not traveling and speaking, you can find him hanging out with his kids.
Jon’s Story – “There is HOPE!” When dreams collapse . . .new dreams come
After dreaming and striving to be the best baseball pitcher in the world and holding a record-breaking career as a high school baseball pitcher, featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and a beautiful girlfriend…he had it all. Until, in college on baseball scholarship, he suffered a shoulder and injury and four surgeries later changed the trajectory of his life.
Afterwards, Jon struggled to find value and happiness. His shattered dream lead him down a path of alcohol, a suicide attempt, deep-seated anger, and a failed marriage making him feel even more desperate.
In the worst spot in his life, he reached out to find hope, healing, and help. That’s when new dreams began and he traded the old dreams for beautiful new dreams, finding value, purpose, and fulfillment.
